If you’re looking for low prices, great service and large selection when shopping for alcoholic beverages, then there is a real choice to consider in North East. Liquor World, formerly Schroeder’s Liquor & Deli, has a new face. “When Ashok (owner of Liquor World) brought me in to transform and grow the store, I knew I had something special to work with,” says Chip Owens, general manager of Liquor World. Owens is a seasoned retail veteran with 21 years at Shop Rite and another 12 years in management plus the opening and remodeling of several stores at Total Wine & More.

During a time of economic turbulence, customers are looking for those extra savings, whether it may be $3.00 lower on a bottle of an American bourbon or 50 cents savings on a 30 pack of beer. Although price may seem to be the most important factor for customers to consider, service and selection are arguably just as significant to most shoppers.

Unlike the Walmarts of the world and other big-box stores, Liquor World strives to offer customers service with personalized recommendations for gatherings from backyard barbeques to winter holiday parties, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. By actually visiting wineries in Napa Valley, CA and various wine regions in France, Owens has laid out the store to be more consumer friendly while shopping. He is always communicating with the customers to find out their needs and any new opportunities as far as trends or any new products to add to the store’s growing selection. Plus the experienced staff at Liquor World is always willing and able to share their wine, liquor or beer knowledge with the customers. Just look for one of the staff photos by a product and you can bet that the product over delivers in value and quality.

Liquor World has a 42 door cooler that exceeds, by far, competitors’ selections of cold beer and micro brews. This kind of selection is not easy to come by anywhere in the area. When Liquor World boasts about their selection, besides wine and spirits, the beer selection is something you won’t forget after walking out of the store. Now it may take a while for all you beer lovers to go through the entire selection, but if you don’t find it here then you might not find it anywhere – not even in State Line Liquors.

Owens says, “Our approach is to deliver on all three fronts (price, service and selection); that’s what we do and that’s Liquor World!”
